Anyone capable of using a two-handed axe can use Shadowmourne.

The stat allocation may not benefit hunters or shamans as much as warriors, DKs or paladins.

All that means is, hunters fucked on legendary yet again. Not that it surprises anybody.

True.
I still say they need to make them scale to lvl or some thing.
So hard to get, and nowdays you get them and they are usless in 6 months or less.

Yea... the problem with the hunter one, though, was that it was a marginal upgrade at best and that the real benefit was economic, not as a PvE upgrade. After Sulfuras, Thunderfury, Atiesh, Warglaives etc all being firmly best in slot and very large upgrades, when hunters finally got a bow it was a minor upgrade off of the end boss of the end instance of the expansion and had random loot on top of that.

Casters could probably make the same complaint about Atiesh, although at least it was not as much of a random drop scenario.

Oranges are basically just trophies, with how fast blizzard is cranking out expansions. It's really not worth being upset over, since no one cares about your old gear.

has there been a good mage/warlock legendary yet? They put in that staff but it always seemed to end up in a druid's hands.

They mentioned right at the start that the legendary in Icecrown was going to be useable by death knights. So, in that sense people should have expected it to not have hunter stats.

Thanks for paying attention.

And by the way, 162.8(Thoridal) - 53 (Timeless arrow) = 109.8

Second best bow = 97.3 (Golden bow of Quel'thalas) making it a grand upgrade of 12.5 dps. That's less of an upgrade than Arrowsong -> Envoy was.

Legendary's a legendary. We don't exactly know how much of a DPS increase Shadowmourne will be from IC loot anyway. Might be in the exact same ballpark Thoridal was.

Tgor's got it bang on, were gonna get the expansion like 3-4 months right after Icecrown, just like sunwell was to WotlK. By then, they'll be just trophies that no one will care about next expac.

EDIT: or mass farmed like TF is now.

You're missing the point, if somebody cares only that they want an orange colored weapon then fine, any one is as good as another. For those of us who merely want PvE upgrades, the legendary bow was terrible. Personally I would have rather paid for my own ammo and had an epic bow with better dps stats and a more typical drop rate off of KJ than a legendary whose only real benefit was free ammo!

As for time lines, I would challenge that the expansion will land 4 months after IC. Obviously speculation but I am expecting at least 6. They are adding three 5-man instances along with IC, and from what I heard at Blizzcon, I doubt we'll see the expansion until around this time next year.

I would bet money the x-pac will be November just as the last two.

Regardless of what they say, Blizzard releases games to maximize profit; they won't release both the xpack and SCII at Christmas time, I am betting they give that spot to SCII.

What boss would you have cleared with it if it were better?

The same bosses we clear every week!
